Very moody. This picture oozes atmosphere. I think it pointless to meddle with it.

How could you improve this picture? You can't really as it stands. But I think that a panoramic crop around the mountain range is a better picture.

I agree, the cactus should be off center. With simple compositions like this following "the rule of thirds" is always a good idea. Apart from that I can't fault it. -
I think all the right elements are there to make this a pleasing picture to look at.It just needs a bit of "oomph." In my mind it suffers from "time of the year" The colour is so washed out. Perhaps a polarising filter would have darkened the sky.
The best thing to do would be to go back in the summer with all the greenery, perhaps the water wouldn't be so brown too. I think the autumn would produce an excellent picture too.

Love the vivid colours. But that green bush is in the wrong place.

The low viewpoint and the curving in the fence make this a very exiting picture to look at -
I like this. All those curves on top of each other almost gives me vertigo.
