This beautiful climb followed the arete of the thumb 1000 ft to the
top. One becomes so focused on the task at hand and the rock within
reach that fear of heights is tiny- that is until lunch break or
during the rapel descent, at which point the awesome view with plenty
of air under foot sets loose that little fear demon.
Please look at my photo for composition and cropping and rate it for
originality and asthetics.
Thanks,
Ray Kinnaird

This is the photo without any crop. I've tried various crops but none
seem to give the impact of the original. Any ideas? Oh, could you
please look at my portfolio and comment or rate as you may? It seems
other photographers have so many views, ratings and comments but mine
seldom get any. (OK, I might be a great photograher but I could learn
from your critiques) Thanks, Ray.

I'm thinking I should have squatted down and brought the duck closer
to the sign.

I'm am fairly pleased with this photo but wonder if perhaps there
is something more that can be done with it. Ideas?
thanks

The roof overhanging from the right is distracting to me.
Uufortunately cropping takes some of the flags out. Maybe I'll
paint over it.

Last year in the Smokies, after about four weeks hiking from Georgia,
a beautiful and dangerous ice storm caught us high.

Always I want to know; should I do some cropping?

I've cropped this down and think it's satisfying.

I snap shots as I'm doing other stuff, rather than planning photo
outings... Sometimes my eye catches something different.
