I was told by the dealer I bought it from that it had belonged to a Linhof repair guy (said it was his own personal camera), so the shoe could be from a different camera. It's got a leather handle, not the hand grip, and the rf is not flush with the top (as I've read that in the IVs they were). It's got the red pinstripes on the front. Synthetic bellows. </p>

<p>More questions for the magic Bob Salomen: I have what I believe to be a Technika IV, serial number 65286, which, looking through this thread, would appear to be about a 1959 model. However: It would appear that the camera was fitted at some point with a Tech V front standard because the rise and fall is controlled by a geared crank lever (which from looking at photos on the web doesn't appear to be a feature of the Tech IV). Anyway, my crank has croaked -- it won't engage with the cog that controls the rise and fall. Questions:<br>

1) Is my supposition, that this is a Tech IV modified with some Tech V parts plausible/correct?<br>

2) Any suggestions for repair people in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, or anywhere else in The Netherlands?</p>
