Back to film just for fun!
-
Hi AJ-
The whole set (unedited) can be seen at http://tatanka01.home.comcast.net/0101/index.htm
Must be okay if it left someone wanting more! :) :) And yes, very colorful.

More of a snapshot than anything.

Always like checking in to see your work, Amy. This one seems to miss the mark with me, and it's not the red. I think it's the stark background with a "cluttered" model. Maybe too much detail in the model and the shadows? Hard to figure it out...

The first time I'd ever seen a carillon was about 10 minutes before
this shot was taken. Performance art -- I learned more afterwards.
The carillon, in this case, is 4 tons of tuned brass bells on a
mobile platform. Played with the fists and the feet. This photo is
almost as haunting as the music (which was superb). The player is
Frank DellaPenna of Cast in Bronze. I don't know him, but he put on
a heck of a performance in full costume under the hot Colorado sun.

A few "sour tomatoes" in the rants here. I'll go with the judges... Excellent catch, Fabian, and some hard work.

In the world of digital, I'm having fun with 120. This photo was
taken in Eldorado State Park, just outside Boulder, CO. The water
is from a "tube" that drains from upstream somewhere. Photo was
taken in early morning, looking East.
The film was scanned on "auto" using an Epson 2450. No
manipulation. Pentax 645, hand-held, Fuji Provia 100F film.

Joe -- you asked for comments. This is a great shot, but to my eye it lacks foreground detail. That is, it appears a little fuzzy, and maybe a little too dark. I would expect this in the rainbow and sky. Maybe it's just the scan? Great work in any case.

Superb effect.

Superb! Excellent use of light and time.

The motorcycle pictures looked like typical snapshots to me, but this shows forethought and imagination. Great shot.

I guess we just have a different 'eye.' Comments appreciated, though.

Bet I've seen a thousand pictures of the 'Bells. After awhile, they all look the same. Yours, though.... Wow! Excellent work!
