Nikon D100, 85/1.8, 320iso, Originally shot on RAW, then converted
to TIFF in PS 7, the desaturated for B&W.

come on people, that it NOT a cup hanging in the photo. it is a pirate's flag. you know, Pirate's Alley?
-
Great shot. Love the light peeking out.
-
always have liked those window shots from an airplane
-
Reminds me of New Orleans in the mornings.
-
Now this makes me want to go to San Fransico!
-
i prefer no to use filters on the cameras. i'll use them when it comes time to print in my darkroom. very overcast day and heavy rain.
and the sheep were behind me!
-
This shot was purposely underexposed to just get
the light coming in from the front on the alley.
I wanted my "blacks" to be "black". That is the
way it is. XP2 rated at 100iso.

looks like he could read your mind if you let him

Yes, it is the Voigtlander lens. I like it better than I thought I would.
-
great color and composition

I turned my head, and there was the shot. Did not
get to focus, just hoped for the best. The boy's head is about the only part in focus. Slow speed of 60 at f6.3. It captures Mardi Gras to me.

I kept waiting for the dog to look my way. This
was the only shot I got with the dog looking forward. This frame was #15 out of 20 frames. The picture works for me, though I too would have wanted the castle a little to the right of the photo. Exposure was f8/250th.
-
I wanted to have more time to set this shot up.
With heavy rain and wind, the sun had just broken
through the clouds. My exposure was f8/100th. A few seconds later, the sun was gone.

I know how hard it is to shoot the alligator through that thick glass. This is the best one I have seen.

the foreground catches your eye, but the background isn't there.....just remember what Ansel Adams said......" I meant to do that!"
