1.
I have the DP-1 finder on mine. Today the generic "Ebay" one came unscrewed and I lost it at the motocross race. According to a Nikon eyepiece chart, the 2923 will fit. But will the newer 2925 with DK-3 eyecup fit? Wasn't this a new and improved design but with the same threads?

 2.
I'd have to say the 35-135 3.5-4.5AF I bought last year. Wide open it's soft and low contrast worst than most lenses, especially at 135mm. And the focus is not accurate on my D300. You can't use AF fine tune because it's not consistent throughout the zoom range. At 35, it front focuses, and at 135 it back focuses. But that's probably a problem with my D300, not the lens. From my experience, Nikon's AF performance has been slipping in the digital era. I'm keeping mine because I consider it a classic. It's the 1st AF version with the thin hard plastic focus ring that everyone hated. It's the only 1st gen AF lens I have now.

Another vote for the worst lens is my 36-72 Series E. At 72mm wide open, it's not even good enough for portraits. And the corners are pretty soft at any focal length wide open, even on a DX size sensor. However, I have got some successful images with it, knowing which focal lengths and aperture combinations to stay away from.
I see quite a few votes for the 18-70. I must have a good copy, because I'm very happy with it other than excessive barrel distortion at 18mm.
I have the 43-86-one of Nikon's worst. In the mid '70s, it was much improved. Mine is the newer AI version and it's OK, but not anywhere spectacular. Just OK. Many have complained of barrel distortion, but it's not bad on DX cameras.

 3.
I've never bought any "ugly" gear from KEH, but I called and asked about it. She said "for parts or tinkering....may or may not be fully functional...do not plan on using..." When it comes to bodies, I get EX or better. But I've bought a few BGN lenses and they looked nice cosmetically and the glass was just about flawless on all. With my 2 Pentax 645 lenses, the bargain one was actually in better condition than the Exc-don't understand that one.

 4.
Hi everyone. I just got this classic body, but it has no eyepiece or eyecup. Which Nikon fits? Is it the same one of the FM3A and F3, or the larger like the F3HP and F100, or something different altogether?
