Actually taken at my Grandmother's (she was terribly embarrassed at
her "old wallpaper.") using YashicaMat TLR. Please comment on the
lighting (available light from window) and composition and my
attempts to capture the nostalgic essence of the room.

Opening the window and moving the girl closer to it would make it look more like a portrait (and less voyeuristic).

Sometimes "accidents" can make the best art. Very dark. Were you projecting a 35mm transparency onto the model?
