1.
Hey everyone,
I'm planning a 5 day Yosemite backpacking trip next year. I'll be bringing my DSLR with a 4 inch lens. Can anyone recommend a holster style case to carry my camera around in? Preferably waterproof and compact.
Thanks!

 2.
I just got the newsletter today. The part I'm confused about, is that I've been checking every few days for the last two months and finally, on June 15th, there is a May project that I have never seen. But the really strange thing is that is seems like everyone else knew about it because there are tons of pictures posted to it already... I'm just trying to figure out if I'm missing something that others are not.

 3.
I cannot figure out why this is happening. One of the main reasons I signed up for Photo.net was to re-involve myself with photography and the monthly project seemed like a good way to do this. However, I never see the project until way after it's over. For instance. Every time I came to photo.net for the last two months, April's project was still the last thing there. I went to Paris in May and kept checking for a May project... Nothing. Now June is halfway over and suddenly there is a May and June project and tons of people have already submitted to them. I am experiencing this on multiple computers and browsers. Anyone have any ideas?
4.
Thanks guys,
Unfortunately, Christoph, I have already wasted time looking for the discontinued Gisteq. It's good to know that I can stop, that sounds awful. Jean, I use a Canon 60D.
I'll likely be buying the Holux tomorrow. I've got some time to test it before my travels.
5.
I wasn't sure where else to post this question.
Is anyone using a GPS tracker to later geotag their photos? I would love to hear what you are using and how you are using it. I am planning a trip to Paris in a couple of months and would like to know exactly where each photo was taken. I was looking at this... http://www.gisteq.com/PhotoTrackr/phototrackr-cd111.php but it has been discontinued.
Thanks in advance!

 6.
That's good to know Philip. That the 60D will show the lenses weaknesses. I think I AM concerned with being able to get at a subject that is far away without them noticing (in the case of people). I'm not one of those "shoot first and ask questions later" sorts of photographers. It will certainly be interesting to compare my 18-55mm with the possible 18-135mm. However, I guess what I would like to know more than anything, is whether the 200mm is worth it. Will that get me anything that I couldn't get reasonably with a 135mm. Maybe I should visit a local shop and look through the lens eh? You guys have been very helpful.

 7.
Thanks T.P.,
It looks like I'm in the same boat. I'm kind of drooling over the 15-85mm but it's out of my budget as well. I'm just starting to nerd out on this stuff again and I think my eyes are bigger than my wallet. I'll probably settle with the "kit" lens until I notice its limitations.

 8.
Hey everyone,
I'm getting ready to buy a 60D and am unsure of what lens to get with it. There is a 28-135mm or a 28-200mm. I am going to be vacationing in Paris next spring and would like to be able to zoom in across a street and things like that. I've always been bummed out with my current 18-55mm lens and I assume that a 135mm will be amazing compared to what I'm used to. Can anyone post a sample of the two extreme focal lengths of this lens? Or at least try explaining...
Thanks a lot!
