Not a bad shot of the sheperd, but I think it would have been much better if the dog were facing the camera. I usually like the wide-angle perspective distortion thing, though it's not that flattering for portraits unless it exaggerates something. For example, if this was a puppy with inordinately large paws, then the lens' distorion of that would have been cuter. Either way, thouth, IMHO this would be better with the dog facing more into the lens (and hence, staring at me as I view the image)
