I would recommend a 35mm 1.8 afs , seems more suitable for landscape and art gallery, not too bad waist to head, and full length body shot , and of course street .
50mm prime for better Portraiture.

70-300mm is too long and slow for art galleries and"landscape" . not to mention you need at least 5 feet of focal distancing , you be bumping into other exhibits. (trust me I know! did once with the 55-300mm)

I read a few adobe lightrooms ebooks where they all basically said the same thing, but the got the most out of watching a couple of adobe tv tutorials.

the Ipod classic is... a waste , its 160gb drive is its own worst enemy. When almost full its impossible to find something,
Very laggy , menus are hard to get by. As for photos, the screen is tiny , and low resolution. doesn't even work as a storage
device, since you have to go through itunes/or alt. program.
I exchanged it for a ipod touch 64gb , which works fine , just the $400 price tag was hard to swallow.

I passed by there the other day unfortunately the chapel was closed , its a LOT smaller than it looks
maybe a littlebit bigger than a two car garage. I manage to shoot with 50mm on dx , literary from the
door . One of the main attractions is its glass ceilings and walls allowing nature light in . So a wide
angle lens would be really useful. Chapel has a very nice garden all around , perfect photo op.

what larry said , Plus they do wear out in the physical sense; moisture, corrosion, magnetic field damage, shock , heat , freeze.
Better quality brands are more immune to these type of failure, but its still happens. Also they are more compatible and less likely to get errors.

Can you wear it out be using it too much? not likely , they will become obsolete before that happens.

I agree , none. Juggling smartphone and camera/lens while trying to shoot , just missing shots.
all the tools 'Apps' are already in the camera just gotta learn to used them.
