3.
Hi there,
4.
Many Thanks for the replies.... I am trying this for the first time....
The dimensions I have given are for the out side of the matte. So the image size must be smaller than these sizes as I have mentioned in my question. I was thinking of having an actual image size of 300x85mm(for the rectangular)
I tried to using Photoshop's image>image size function where I switched off the 'resample' flag so my pixel dimensions would not be reduced. Then I set the width and the height came up automatically. The resolution too went up to about 700. I am thinking when it gets printed in the lab, the excess pixels will get thrown away automatically. Is this what happens...I am not sure... The lab is still closed for holidays and will open only next week.

  5.
Thanks Bob. Yes, it is a Cannon 450D :) and apologies for not being clear in the question...
I am not trying to fit a rectangular into a square or the other way around.
What I am trying to do is to fit landscape/panoramic images which are rectangular to a smaller rectangular image of size 130x380mm. Also and fit the square images to smaller square images of size 254x254mm.

The dimensions I have given are for the out side of the matte. 6.
I am not sure whether this is the right place to ask this question....since I couldn't find any, thought of coming here as the closest possible place.... apologies...if this isn't the right forum...
I need help with how to reduce the size of an image to fit various smaller sizes. E.g. 135 x 380mm I(landscape/rectangular format), 254 x254mm(square format) etc mounted/matted. Therefore, the image must be made smaller than these sizes without losing quality and any part of the image. I am unable to crop to achieve these sizes since I need the full image.
I need to reduce sizes of these images for professional printing.
These photos were taken by using a Canon D450 camera and in both RAW & JPEG
Your help is much appreciated.

  8.
Thanks Jim.
I am still not sure whether I need to enter a figure in subject distance when using the dof master calculator to get the hyper focal distance?

  9. Hi,

When calculating hyper focal distance using dof master how to know the subject distance? What put in there and is it mandatory to enter

    a number in there?

I was trying to take a landscape photo with a canon 450d with 16mm eos L lens.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers

  10.
Hi,
Many Thanks for your help. As you have said, my final product was not that great. The exposure was not smooth at all and to be honest, it was awful. Hence, I thought of asking the question :).
The other reason was because i had shot them in raw...
I will try another one the other way around.
Once again, appreciate your help

  13.
Hi,

I would like to know whether it is possible to make a panorama by using HDR and photomerge technology:

shoot in AEB and take 3 shots of each point of the panorama (make sure to overlap each photo)

HDR each point (each will have 3 shots of different exposure)

use either photomerge (in photoshop) or Microsoft ice or any stitching program to stitch them into a panorama.

Your help is much appreciated.

  14.
Many Thanks!

I had set it to raw and jpeg. I have now set it to only raw. Also, the drive mode is continuous.

once again, appreciate your help very much.
