1.
Spring is here. I see these tiny white flowers along the edge of the woods but haven't been able to identify them online. They're tiny. I shot this at 3x magnification on a 60d then cropped it so this is only about half the frame. The whole flower can't be more than 3mm across.

00cSRZ-546335584.jpg.945d7135d2b5c027868817604665eb0d.jpg

 2.
Another great selection of photos to start off Monday. Amazing Kestrel photo. I love the pond sculpture. Sunday, I went to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. It was windy and cool, and not a lot of ducks. Enjoyed the usual selection of herons and egrets, white and glossy ibises. The high point was an appearance by one Roseate Spoonbill. I took photos but he was so far away they're usefully as evidence of the sighting. Here's my favorite photo of the day, a Snowy Egret.

00cJ5v-544831884.jpg.2c492d931019491fb08022fc1e3e3e3f.jpg

 3.
Great shots! Laura, glad you grabbed the opportunity. It is a wonderful shot. While I was weeding this weekend I noticed these tiny blue flowers. The photo is uncropped 1:1 on a Canon 60D crop sensor, so the flower is about 8mm in diameter and the plant was only about two inches tall. I have a wildflower guide but haven't found it yet. I'm in the Tallahassee area of Florida if that helps anyone identify it.

00c2BD-542814984.jpg.b4f2a5769a05538b7d670c70970c9983.jpg

 4.
Great photos. The bioluminescent mushrooms were great. I'm in Florida and fungi seem to be everywhere in the woods. I'm going to have to pick likely candidates and check them by night. I also l loved the standing deer. Here's my modest contribution, a Zebra Longwing.

00c06m-542538484.jpg.4b391fed8b706841e35194292359f4a5.jpg

 5.
Wonderful photos. Roberta, what a great Ruby Throated shot. I tried some last weekend, I'm posting the best of a bad lot. They were just too fast for me.
Thought the bear shots were interesting. I also happened to see a Florida Black Bear last weekend. It was down by the small creek on our property, making the second time I've found a bear on our land. Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera with me. I just decided on the spur of the moment to take the scenic route back from feeding the horses. It was small, perhaps 75 pounds, so I think it must be this year's cub. I didn't wait around to look for mom.

00bvSI-542013984.jpg.09d6fcd65225cd05c36028bdfffea6c4.jpg

 6.
Don't think we've had a day in the last month without rain. Just have to live with it, so here's my rainy day shot, with the image reduced to 700px the rain drops barely show as streaks against the foliage.

00bqnv-541517684.jpg.eac5f41221d26974915d4b781af948fb.jpg
