Very nice blues indeed. A nice picture, but unfortunately the fisherman in the front was rocking too much in his boat - a sharp boat would have improved this picture even more, but that is impossible to get I guess.

A nice and sharp picture of the birds, I especially like the way they stare towards the right. But the metal contruction on the left is unfortunately pretty annoying.

Critics are welcome, but please view the larger version, ist looks
much better that way!

Adam,
nice picture, I really like it!

Glen,
As for the contrast: There are some 500m of rocks above to control - without a ND grad there is absolutely no chance to do so, esp. in cloudy conditions. Or would do you mean by postprocessing?

Egypt with its wonderful colours is really a photographers dream. Old
and new are coming together everywhere resulting in bizarre
situations. There are still alot of old-style ferrys crossing the nile
like this one, transporting just about everything one can imagine.

My favorite olive stand. Did you try the dried black olives with herbs for .50 cent per 100g? They match your picture :)

I took this shot one late evening in the St. Gallen monastery quarter.
The cathedral belonged to one of the most famous monasteries in
mid-Europe and is a very nice example of the Swiss / southern German
baroque style. Next to it is the monastery library - an UNESCO world
heritage site. It contains books and other documents being almost 1200
years old and is one of the main sources for the german language.
Definitely worth a visit, although photography is forbidden within the
marvellous library hall (being baroque as well).

Nice flowers and a great idea :) Is the top unsharp by intention or is it a DOF issue? I would prefer to have a bit more DOF, you can only guess the sunrise if you know it is there.

Leonid,
I agree with you, but the object is about 15cm deep, which is way too much to be covered at a working distance of 30cm. So this is the best I could get.

I am a bit torn with this picture: Are the colours ok or is it too
much? Although I did not manipulate anything, I guess the polarizer
with 100EC was a bit too much ...
