    Hi Sam,

I like the simplicity here, and the central light green leaf brings an uplift to the darker foreground grass.  The noise was a little too apparent for me, it detracts from an image which would benefit from a crisp, smooth finish, was it quite a heavy crop from the original?

    Hi Sam,

The clarity on the dragonfly is amazing, he really pops out of the photo.  Colours are soft and not overdone, the grass has a sort of soft glow which I like, and the blue especially is captivating. The simple, uncluttered background works well, the crop is perfect.  I think keeping the dragonfly central works in this case, as he is small relative to the photo and off-centre might just lose him a little.  Nothing to fault, excellent shot.

  1. Hi Leon

The composition is good, the foreground really draws me towards the guy in the centre, who gives a real sense of scale to the scene.  Usually a walking subject should not be in the very centre of a photo, but in this case I kinda like it, it pulls me in and adds dramatic effect.  It would have been nice if the man was not in front of the plants, he seems a little lost in them, but it still works.

    Hi Sandi,

The strong colors and shadows really jump out, and the old lady adds an extra element of interest.  I'd be tempted to crop the beige building on the right, getting rid of that ugly grey junction box??  Just a thought.  Love the red slippers too!

This is my my first ever photo submission, so please be honest and

critical with any feedback. I photographed this little boy during a bike ride

along the banks of the Tonle Sap river in Cambodia, near the town of

Kampong Chhnang. The wooden struts you see behind him are the stilts

holding up his house, which is about 20 feet off the ground to avoid the

    rainy season floods!
