    Nice composition.

    I like the treatment you have given this image. It has a soft focus quality due to the shallow DOF which gives the feel of a finely executed pencil drawing. The image contains quite a lot of noise which I find adds, rather than detracts, to the quality. The subject is also very cute and the detail is kept where it is needed, around the eyes.

    I also found the title interesting and wondered if there was a Johnny about also. Regards, Peter.

    Doug and Pierre, thank you for your comments. Joel the idea was to try and bring out as much detail in a small object as possible. I don't think I was considering whether it was a macro shot or an interesting flower composition, in a pleasing sort of way, but rather an attempt at producing a sharp detailed image. As such you are correct, it does tend to be somewhere in the middle.

    Lovely capture and treatment. I also like the way the foreground of the flower has been separated out from the background giving the impression of something delicate and birdlike
