1. I bought this camera second hand but supposedly it had hardly been used.

I have a real issue with how little the battery lasts. The other day I used it for a total of 3h, took around 50 shots maximum, and the battery was almost dead by the end. I have a second battery, though I didn't buy the camera charger (regretting it already). Still though, it feels like this is way too short. Or am I wrong and this is normal?

Any tips on how to make the battery last longer? It's already in airplane mode while I'm on the go....

    Thanks in advance!

  2.
Hi everyone,
I have a 700D and I recently managed to damage my Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, which was my travel buddy and my 'standard' everyday lens together with my 50mm 1.8.
I went to a camera shop to ask for advice, and the guy was very much pushing for me to replace the Tamron lens with the Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM. He said the quality of the images as well as the actual lens is better, and the Autofocus too.
Honestly, I liked my Tamron lens and loved the 2.8 constant aperture but I would be intrigued to go for something a bit different.
I would appreciate your thoughts and your expertise!

  3.
I've found a second hand lens sold on ebay (very cheap). It's a Sigma 21-35mm 3.5/4.2 wide angle that was used on Nikon....
So my question is, would it be possible to use this lens on my Canon Rebel XT or would that damage one of the two(most importantly, MY CAMERA?)
And if it's possible, how is it done?
Thank you very much!

  4.
Hello everyone!

This is my first post in this forum. I consider myself to be a beginner. I have been using my SLR camera for the past year, and have recently bought a prime 50mm f/1.8 and I'm very happy with it, especially for portrait photos. I would like to buy a wide angle lens but I can't afford to spend too much on it. I'm thinking of buying a sigma or tokina lens since I've heard that they are a good alternative to a canon lens.
I wanted to know what you experts think of these two brands. Are they indeed good? Or should I keep saving money to spend it on a canon?

Thank you very much.
