    Very nice idea.

This is where a DSLR would have come in handy. A faster shutter speed was probably needed, and maybe a polariser filter.

I really like this image. I feel that it's not the type of image that should be shot in b&w though. I'm left wondering what the actual colours were like at the time. Do you have a colour image too?

Your comment has just made me look at the picture in a completely different and interestingly wonderful way. All of a sudden it has come to life for me.

I suppose it's easy to look at the technicalities of an image and miss the depth it holds and the story it tells. Granted, the work isn't exactly 'subtle' or even closely resembling a 'real' image, but having looked at it from the artists point of view, I think the bad pasting of the water and the child, plus the enhanced sky and walls, definitely make this picture interesting and almost dream-like. We are taken into the artists past, or at least how his mind remembers it!

Well done to the artist and well done to the elves for choosing such an interesting subject.

I like the natural light showing the detail and curves of her body and also the soft light from right lighting the side of her breast and neck. Perfect lighting!

This is not 'celebrate the picture'. It is a critique request and a poster, regardless of what level you think he's at as a photographer, which is totally irrelevant anyway, is entitled to state his opinion and he did so in a non-mocking, honest manner.

I personally think it is Photoshopped to death and to be honest, I don't see how anyone can say otherwise. When have you ever walked down a street and saw a view like that? The reason why posters haven't said anything is because they respect the fact that Photo editing has become a very real and popular style for a lot of people and rather than look at it as a 'photograph' as such, they are seeing it for what it is - an edited image.

This isn't my favourite style of photography but I respect that there is a place for it so I wasn't going to comment but having seen your ignorant and arrogant response to another posters views (who just so happens to be my friend, hehe), I am obliged to jump to his defence. Respect the fact that it is a critique request and not a 'tell me how good my image is' request.

I love wide landscape images where you can see the detail in every part of the picture. This has gone beyond being a 'good picture'. You should ask for a critique on this because this, for me, is one of the most creative and interesting pictures I have seen.

    Congratulations.

Love the light, love the composure, love the vignetting, love the coolness of the image. This is a fantastic shot. Well done.

    Hello all,

I have had to add a warmth filter to this photo on Photoshop because I

keep getting a Cyan tint on all photos taken with my D40. I am new to

photography but would like for you to comment on this picture of my

son. What could I have done better? What have I done well?

    Thanks in advance!
