Great image, love the composition, the reflections but the top portion, particularly the sky is too dark IMO. Did you use a grad filter?
Regards, Gary.

Lovely scene, well composed and captured - a pleasure to view.
Best regards, Gary.

Thank you Stephen and Thom.

Wonderful image Gianluca, I love it. Congratulations and best regards, Gary.

Hi Thom, I really like this image. You have done this very well, foreground interest, reflection leading into the main subject, nice soft tones, light well balanced and no over exposed areas. Congrats, Gary

Lovely image Bobby, nice capturing so much of the clouds in the reflection with the reeds in the foreground. It looks to me like the horizon is just the natural lay of the land. The building uprights all look pretty well vertical. Best regards Bobby, Gary.

Lovely shot Caillum, well done. Best regards, Gary

Mount Ruapehu amidst swirling clouds, tussock rolling in the wind. The
clouds eventually parted enough for a few minute window exposing one
of the peaks of this mountain before the volcano was cloud covered
again. Thanks.

Thanks Philip, in fact thank you all. Gladys also mentioned the sky, the original is a bit lighter for some reason. You can view the original here

Nice shot Scot - good work. All the best.

Great capture Nelson. The lighter coloured duck in the middle is a female Mallard the green/blue heads are drakes trying to mate with her. Well done.
-
Lovely shot Nelson but the focus seems a bit soft. I know some of the branches are moving with the water and possibly some wind but the rocks and log are not quite sharp. Could it be the lens?
How do you like the D7000? All the best.

Nice work Jana, well done.

Nice photo Philip. Lovely spot - have you considered this from a slightly different perspective and time of day? Using the old wood set in those lovely stones to lead into a sunrise / sunset event, maybe smoothing the waters a little with a slow exposure? Like your portfolio by the way. All the best.

Great image and point of view Henry well done.

Thanks Pierre, I did consider this and bracketed shots to this end but the wind was too strong to get two exposures in a row that were sharp enough for stacking. Cheers.

Mount Ruapehu at sunrise. I took alot of shots this morning starting
well before sunrise just hoping for a few steady shots. The wind was
howling from the east as is just evident in the foreground grass. I
was standing beside the tripod, cable release in hand with my coat
spread out as a wind break trying to time the shutter release at lulls
in the wind gusts. Thanks for your critiques.

Hi Jared, nice capture and light balance. If the image was flipped horizontally it would flow from left to right, there is something about a right to left flow that is not as pleasing to the eye as left to right, in my humble opinion at least anyway. I shoot alot of real estate and commercial work, this is a well captured photo. Best regards.
