Spectacularly specular, thanks for the shot

A friend and I spent a good while trying to find this fantastic Orchid, and in

the verges of a motorway, by the last light of the day we found this one.

Hope you like my version of it.

Your portfolio on the whole is inspiring but these flower shots have forced me to comment, simply stunning. I love the blended textures taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary. Thanks for sharing your work.

Thanks for the comments, i'm glad you liked this one,not to all's liking. I would like to say however that I'm a little concerned that I may have misled some by my comments about pressing all the right buttons; I was actually talking about  navigating PN properly, not on how to use my camera, sorry about that. I'm in my second year of using a digital camera, and have had some very kind and smart help from a patient friend, who is a cracking wildlife photog.Once again, sorry if I have misled anyone, this is not my intention, I have been looking at the galleries on PN for some time now and have a great deal of respect for the authors on here, i'll keep my flippancy in check from now on.    Cheers all.
