1.
Hi,
It is very nice chance to buy D800 or D800E. You should not look back D700 or D7000. Simply should go to D800. Reason is simple. It is currently the best camera in FX format. No other can beat it at photo quality. Many used D700 are selling cheaply in Japan. No one think to buy D700 or D7000 if they have enough money to get D800/B800E. Now, D800 is the best selling camera include DX format amazingly. One large problem is unknown delivery.

  2.
Hi,
Canon can make sensor but problem is not a production. The sensor must have correct usability and right functionability. I mean high ISO, wid dynamic range, Optical quality, and of course the resolution. The production and usability is different. Now D800 just open open the door to higher resolution with nice usability. Canon released 5Dmk3 but many user disappointed the ISO because red noise appearance at certain area and it found just 2 days ago. Why larger pixel can not have higher ISO than D800. Now 5dmk3 user are quite noisy by this problem. Every 5Dmk3 user say Canon sensor is not enough. It is not said by Nikon user, It is said Canon user themself. Probably Canon will say the problem is not a problem, it is in spec.

  3.
Hi,
Canon is developing high resolution DSLR but their sensor technology is not enough than Sony or Renesas since sensor technology is quite similar to Memory and Digital TV.
Presently, Canon use own sensor but it is cleared that the avility of sonsor is not enough than D800's. If canon succeeded 40M pixels sensor, then the Sony may have 100M sensor. Canon has no chance to beat Sony obviously. Probably Canon will go to use other's sensor something like Sony, Renesas, Samsung. Anyway it is a future story.
Currently in Japan. Many Canon user switched to Nikon because the resolution, ISO, Dynamic range, price, something 5Dmk3 failure, etc.
Here is the page of user sample photos. (Japanese page. Arrow mark at the bottom of page lead you to next page.) If you have interest, please try.
4.
Hi,
It is said OLYMPUS OM-D E-M5 use Sony sensor. So, Sony, Nikon, Pentax, also Olympus use Sony sensor. Colour difference is by maker's software difference. D7000 is released more than a year ago. Sony refined ISO technology using last one year. May be Sony refine more using coming one year. Simply said the latest sensor has better ISO. If you like EVF and higher ISO you should change your camera. Probably, Sony will release more better one in shortly. and Pentax will release light weight weather sealed model in Autumn. I think there is no much difference in photos.

  5.
By the latest comparison between D800 and D3s. D800 is better than D3s at higher ISO.
D800 is classified as high amateur full size model in Japan. but it is beating flagship now. It is a monster but has weak point in sport and animal photos.

  6.
The same argument was done betweem 5dmk2 and D700. The result was 5dmark2 won in some fields.
Simply same thing happened between D800 and 5Dmark3. And both are very nice actually.
Canon recovered the weak points of 5Dmark2 and made 5Dmark3. Nikon choosed different way to D800 with Sony sensor. Probably they opened a door to new age of camera. D800 and D800E are looked like a test machine unified with Nikon's and Sony's semiconductor technologies and patented their new optical technologies and brush upped software technologies.
Unfortunately D800 has only 4fps since huge data transfer to the memory per a second. D800 also require high speed CPU computer and larger memory and disk storage, and quality lens for ideal photos. 5Dmark3 look better to use sport scene or animal pictures.
Obviously, the selection is depend on users.

  7.
I just put the information here about latest comparison result in Japan between D800 and 5Dmk3.
ISO: D800>5Dmk3
Dynamic range: D800>5Dmk3
Resolution: D800>>5Dmk3
Price: D800>>5Dmk3 (D800 is amazingly cheaper than 5Dmk3.)
Canon users look doing funeral ceremony against Nikon users Rio's Carnival.
Also, D800 and D800E's order percentage is 46% vs 54%.
And waiting time from order to in coming is now 2 months for D800, 5Dmk3 is not informed yet.

  8.
I recommend D90. D80 has CCD sensor against C-MOS sensor of D90. C-MOS sensor will show you better natural colour. D90 is still very popular camera everywhere in the world. Also it has better specification and feel. Nikon's refurbished is fine. Probably you will have some warranty on it.

  9. Hi,

Nikon Japan listed D800 and D800e to their catalogue today.

The sample photos can be seen on the page http://www.nikon-

    image.com/products/camera/slr/digital/d800/sample.htm

Mostly FX size cameras are products of their Sendai factory in Japan. Thailand factory is producing middle

to entry level cameras. Sendai factory had been stopped almost half year after the quake.
