1.
Thank you all for your answers. I think i might be able to use some of the alternatives you posted. I'm going to try out frames and see what happens. I don't really like to edit pics in photoshop. But it is at least good to know if it's possible with the camera or it's all photoshop. I guess it could be done easily in a dark room, both nice frames and whatnot. But I don't use darkroom. Well thank you anyway, very helpful.

 2.
Framing a picture with a round, black, irregular-shaped frame makes the picture look much better in my opinion, at least if you want it to look older or just get more focus on the object. The thing is that I don't know how to do that and would like some advice. Do you do it when taking the picture with a filter or in Photoshop later? I could easily do it in Photoshop but think it's better to be able to do it with the camera.
One other thing...sometimes with or without the black frame, some photographers pictures have a mark or a brand name in it. There could be 2 parallel lines on the top and bottom of the picture saying Nikon. Is that Photoshop? It to gives the picture a nice old look and I want to learn it.

 3.
I also have a 18-55mm to my D60, and I also have the most irritating...worst then nicotine...gear lust. I think I can manage to take decent pictures with my lens today but I can't stop thinking that the result could be different/better if I had a more fancy lens. My pictures could be so much better. My economist/adviser/lonely planet/girlfriend keeps me from spending my money witch is good...but I hate that she might be right about this.
Anyhow....apparently there isn't any 35mm lenses in the whole of Argentina and its impossible to import here. Ideas?
Frustrated like many others :-)
