1.
I'm looking for a tilt shift lens for my Canon 5D MKII, but I think the Canon original are too expensive.

I've seen the Arax lenses on Ebay but they only have a 80mm and a 35mm and I'm looking for something in the area of 45-55mm.
Whats my alternatives?

Thanks!

  2.
I'm looking into getting a education in Documentary Photography / Photojournalism, but I'm having trouble finding a wellrespected school. And I'm hoping you guys could give me some advice.

I'm mainly looking in the US, but any other country will work aswell
I'm NOT a beginner, that means I don't want any beginner classes.

Another alternative is Fine Art Photography, I've read about Acedemy of Art University but I don't know how they are.

Thats it!

Thanks!

  3.
Hi! I'm on the lookout for a 6x6 or 6x7 rangefinder with a lens around 80-110 f/2.8.
It's a plus if it has a lightmeter and a coupled rangefinder.

I've owned a Mamiya 6 with the 75/3,5 but its to short and the 150 is to long.
I've also had a Hasselblad with the 80/2.8 which I love, but it's to big and doesn't focus close enough
I recently had a Mamiya RZ67 with the 110/2.8, the lens is the perfect focal length and I love the bellow-focus, but again to big.

I've been looking at the Certo Six, but I can figure out the specs.

What are my other options?

Thanks!

  4.
Hi!
I'm going to shoot alot of documentary photography in third-world countries and I dont have alot of experience in this area. So what I have is a Canon 5dMK2, 35/1.4 and 50/1.4, what I need is something longer towards a portrait focal-length.
For starters I've tried the Canon 85/1.2 and completly hated it, so that is not even close to an option.
The lenses I have in mind right now is:
Canon 85/1.8
Canon 135/2
or maybe
Canon 100/2

I'm sure there are hundreds of topics regarding this, but I can't get any good argument.
What do you think considering what I need to do?

  5.
When will any of the bigger manufacturers make a camera like this:

- The Fuji X100 viewfinder (or better)
- Similar body to the X100 or M9 or similar)
- Same/Similar autofocus-system as the Nikon V1
- All other specifications from the Canon 5D mkII (or better), I have this awesome camera today, but its to bulky.
- 35mm f2.0 (or better, as long as the price isn't absurd)
- 50mm f1.4
- 85mm f2.0 (or better, as long as the price isn't absurd)

Tell me when it will arrive and I'll buy it in a flash!

  6.
Thanks Pete!
I've been thinking of buying a fixed 20 or 24mm for the 5Dmk2. And another thought I had was to bring my polaroid system, maybe that would be a way to connect with people. Give them a polaroid and then shoot the "real" picture with my other cameras?

So lets say I'll bring the 5Dmk2, a 20/2.8, 35/1.4 and 85/1.2. I totally love my 35/1.4 but it's quite heavy and bulky, same goes for the 85. Should I even consider the 35/2.0 and 85/1.8? Is it a good thing to have a longer lens? Maybe the 200/2.8? And an extender aswell? To heavy maybe...

  7.
Well, as you know, there are several different branches in the photography buisness. I almost exclusively do Still Life photography with my 8x10" camera. I have very little experience in photography in third world countries, but I know I won't bring the 8x10. I have a feel for what I should bring, but since I'll been away for a long time I do appreciate your tips and recommendations.

Thanks

  8. Well thats the problem! I love to shoot with all My cameras, the perfect camera would be a digital contax g2, but I'll

probably bring the 5d and maybe the hasselblad or the 617 aswell, sure It's heavy but it must be worth it! I'd love to just

bring the G2 instead of the 5D but I feel I need à digital option.

  9. The main purpose of the trip is photography. I do work as a photographer, I will mostly do documentary work in developing countries

aswell in war-areas. I'm considering to bring the Hasselblad, but I fear it will be to heavy and bulky. So the G2 seems like a fantastic

    camera-system.

  10.
I'm planning a longer trip around the word, but I can't deside what camera to bring. It should be a good all-around equipment. Today I have a Canon 5D MkII with a 35/1,4 and complement it with a 85/1,2. I also have a Hasselblad 503 with a 80mm and a 180mm, I love the Hasselblad, but I think it would be to heavy to bring with me. Since I love to shoot with film, I've been looking at a different equipment. The Contax G2 seems like a good option aswell, maybe with a 35mm and a 90mm. It's small, discrete and farily light.
Whats your opinion? Any thoughts?

  11.
I don't know if this is the right forum to post this, but I'll give it a go. I have the 35/1.4, 50/1.4 and 85/1.2 but I'm looking for some alternative lenses that I could use when I shoot video, just cheap stuff like the Helios 58/2,0 for example, and I'm in particular looking for a macro, tilt/shift, more wideangle and more tele.
Any suggestions? As long as they cover 36x24 and are cheap I'm happy (yeah and only fixed lenses)

Thanks

  12.
I'm going to by a Polaroid Land Camera and it's most likely to be a 250.

BUT
Is it possible to mod it and change the lens to a one that has a faster F-stop? For example the Mamiya 127/3.5.
The big question is if it's possible to modify the viewfinder so I still will be able to focus?
And is it possible to make the new lens work with the auto-exposure?

Any lens suggestions?
