There maybe a simple answer to this. When you save JPGs you should see option boxes asking how you want to save them. I have had trouble importing JPGs into some programs if the "progressive" option is selected. Make sure the image is saved as "Baseline - standard" and you should be OK. I hope this works for you.

Hi George
Yes just go to the top of the window showing your list of files. There is a small icon called View. Click on it and select your preferred option.

Further to Andy's comment, I have the 16-85 and I'm very happy with it. The extra width at 16mm is very useful and the main complaint is usually that it is too expensive for a variable aperture zoom but it should still come in under your 2K budget. Check out the reviews. Oh yes - the D7000 is a fabulous camera.

I'd have thought you would want to upgrade the body before spending that kind on money on that lens.

You can do both. There's no harm in finding out what other people like. If you're interested in other peoples opinions this is called empathy. You can have two versions of a photographic image. That which pleases you and that which pleases others.

I have the Nikon 16-85. I can only report that for me this lens is pin sharp and perfectly matches my 70-300.

I bourght "Nikon D7000 From Snapshots to Great Shots" by John Batdorff. I migrated from a D80 to the D7000 and while much of the book is very basic, it explains things very clearly and you can easily identify new features of the D7000 that you hadn't noticed before.

Hi David
If you've only just purchased CS5 and have no experience with previous versions then you've got a long learning curve ahead of you. I can't point you to specific tutorials. There are lots out there. Just google them. As a quick start make sure you master the following skills: selecting and deselecting, surface blur, diffuse glow, spot healing brush set to content aware, saturation and unsharp mask. That should keep you busy for the next six months. Good luck.

The wedding photographer is an integral part of most people's weddings. When you present the happy couple with their portfolio, do you include an image of yourself? I really liked the photographer at my daughter's wedding and I took a few "snaps" of him at work just so her reminders of the day would be complete.

Hi David
If you're stitching or using HDR Pro then you will have to flatten the image and save it as a JPG. Then use Bridge to open your file in ACR. Go to File - Open in Camera Raw.
