Yea thanks for the comments. the blog is mainly for me lol so I can go back to it and have a list of all the information instead of having to search through a forum or posts. You're probably right I'd get more views and posts from others here. Either way I'll keep posting my questions here mainly, I'll just use the blog as more a bookmark list!!<br>

9days has updated their online inventory on ebay by the way!</p>

So the 6x6 back is now available on ebay through 9days, I guess after me asking them so many questions they decided to post the parts, they also now have a 45 prism and a 90 prism , an extra battery and charger. The prices are pretty decent too! The back is still 2100, as for DHW fototechnik I was able to get a response! I'm on the waiting list and I've been invoiced!! Should get it in early april!!! Keep you posted!!</p>

 

<p>Guy and Geoff, thanks very much for your replies and experiences. Geoff your comments are encouraging nonetheless, I do want to get a 33MP back for it eventually. For now I've spoken to other Hy6 users who report DHW fototechnik answers them as well with the pricing but never replies when an order is placed etc. Not sure what the deal is. I'll keep you guys posted on my experiences, hopefully I'll be able to acquire a back for 1150Euros as that is the lowest confirmed price I have received.</p>

I'm way ahead of thinking about getting it! I have an Hy6 body in the mail. I will be mainly using film and I really want to shoot 6x6. My only regret is the loss of low light ambient/flash mixing I like doing. I can't wait to see what I can do with 800 ASA though. I'm not really feeling Mamiya's lenses and bodies right now, I'm only going from forum feedback etc. Plus I am sold on 6x6. My only alternative would have been a 6008 AF or a hassy 500 of some sort. I think I am starting to regret not going for the hassy. The novelty of an Hy6 is wearing off pretty quick now that I'm trying to get this back. If I were going to shoot 645 I would have got a Contax a long time ago, with maybe a cheap digital back. Now with the Hy6 I don't even have an option for Polaroid. huuhh. I'll figure it out, I really love the rollei lenses so at least that will cheer me up!</p>

<p>I just found a post in luminous landscape from a while ago, one of the posters said they paid 1340Eur for it. I just checked my emails and in fact Reiner quoted me 1150 Euros for it. So it's me who is wrong. This is the real price of the back, I guess I couldn't believe it. LOL 9days is still 600US off the actual price but nonetheless it's not as bad as I though. My fault.. WOW that is expensive!!!</p>

<p>Thanks again Tak, the pricing is expensive but the fluctuation in pricing is what I am not happy with. I got a response from Reiner who says there is still a waiting list till April, it's the second time I'll be asking to be placed on the list, I never got a response when I asked to be put on it for march. I really wanted the 6x6, maybe should of went with the 6008 AF, I just wanted to be open for a digital back later on besides the P20. At this point I'm torn between settling for the 645 or trying to figure out where I can get one at the 1300Us quote I originally received from DHW fototechnik. I wish I knew someone in germany lol. I don't see myself ever getting or needing the 80MP back unless I win too lol. Maybe the Leaf 33 would be cool, and I'd always be able to swap to the 6x6 film back! <br>

I guess since 9days seems to be the only ones who actually have the back in hand, they can quote such a high price. I asked again for a quote and they said they are an authorized dealer and I must have been misquoted by Reiner. Still not sure what that means, I wonder if Fototechnik is going to quote me 2100 US when I finally get on this waiting list. I have no choice but to wait and see what I can find, I'm thinking of searching for someone who lives near their headquarters, I hear you can grab one if you're actually physically there..</p>

<p>I really appreciate your help. they quoted me something like 2100 - 2300 US for the back. From DHW it's 1300 and change. I do want the back badly but not enough to spend 1000 more than MSRP.</p>

<p>6060 6x6 film back for Hy6. I've emailed DHW fototechnik and Reiner directly. I am currently awaiting their response. It's been a few days and I haven't heard back. I usually do get an answer so I'm not super worried yet. Last time I spoke with them I was told the film back 6x6 is on a waiting list at the momment. I was wondering if anyone on here has the film back available in their area in a shop? If so whats the price and would you be willing to ship one too me? I'm willing to pay a finder's fee just don't want to wait a month to get one shipped to me.</p>

<p>Kris you should also try using CTO gels on your lights to mix with ambient, you can see what I mean on Kamila's dress.</p>

<p>all the shots were on camera flash, you can get a flash and do the same thing but you have to understand the inverse square law for the backgrounds, also there is some vignetting added in post.</p>
