<p>The Split Rock Lighthouse was built in 1910 on a 130 foot cliff on the North Shore of Lake Superior. It was retired in 1969, but every November10th it is lit in memory of the Edmund Fitzgerald which sank in Lake Superior on that date in 1975.</p><div></div>
