Cheater, cheater, pukin eater. The Bible doesn't say anything about a wheel attached to the other end!

I think we were both wrong. The Atlas moth looks just like this.
-
Christopher Schlaf beat me to it. But think he's right, it's a Cecropia silkmoth because of the white collar around the body.
-
Looks like a moth, not a butterfly. I believe it's a Promethea silkmoth.

Great composition and light. The color saturation goes to far IMHO making it look unnatural.

I like the concept and the composition is great. The halo caused by the over sharpening is distracting. I find the removal of the dirt(?) makes the photo to sterile and prefabricated. I like the other version (http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6341425&size=lg) better. Just get rid of the frame like others had said.

You must have found a very brave heron. Around where I live if they see you coming from a mile away they are gone before you can press the shutter button.

To me this shot screams black and white.
Either way it is a nice capture.

A great capture indeed. I just got back from the Shenandoah and recognized the location immediately. Their weren't any clouds when I was their so no joy on this kind of shot but the rain fall the weekend earlier made for some nice waterfall shots.
Thanks for sharing.

Great use of the reflections. Next time wait for the people crossing the path to get out of the frame. I also feel the boulder is too close to the frame. It throws off the harmony for me.
-
It's a bit over sharpened for my tastes. Anyone else have any more insight?

I agree with Giuseppe. I see a funny smirk.

It's amazing how few people bother to read the comments. A well executed technique.

Can you provide more technical details on this photo. Is this staged? The lighting suggests it is. I love the b&w tones. Did you do anything special or just use the mono channel mixer is ps?

Thats one brave girl!

The colors in the http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?topic_id=1481&msg_id=00GA8p&photo_id=4374944&photo_sel_index=0">colorversion are very strong. Wondering if people prefer the B&Wversion any better.
Thank you for you comments/suggestions.

I like it. A few things that come to my mind: The colors and DOF are nice. The crop of the tip of the nose is a bit distracting. So is the arm/shoulder(?) intersecting with the far eye.

Very natural pose. I like it. I think I would have liked a little more light on his face though.
