  1. <p>I caught this pair courting nearby open water spot. Otherwise Winter has still a strong hold. According the Wiki: " The <strong>Whooper Swan</strong> (<em><strong>Cygnus cygnus</strong></em>) is a large Northern Hemisphere swan. It is the Eurasian counterpart of the North American Trumpeter Swan." They are beautiful creatures and somehow make Spring and Summer seem more likely to come. 1D IIN 4/300 IS + 1.4 ext.</p><div>00YSAR-342041584.jpg.4980502eed582697d05c858ee9305ddd.jpg</div>
  2. <p>Under these troubled times I think this statue represents my feelings. It is called Toivo, a name of boy, which translates like Hope. It was once donated to a small local park by a couple who lost their son too early. May this give hope for better future for mankind and also hope for soon coming spring and summer.</p><div>00YPQZ-340157684.jpg.747bd7d7475236227e9dbef3c17b6c2e.jpg</div>
  3. <p>This winter has been so long and so much snow. I even wonder, if this is ever going to end. As I write this, there is a snow blizzard going on. Huh. But there has been some sunny days too, so I think there might be some chance for spring coming on. 5D Samyang 14/2.8</p><div>00YMtU-338607584.jpg.2a25a41792535f1a7780e1c4cbec0db6.jpg</div>
  4. <p>Frosty windmill and its sweep seen on last Saturday. I was waiting for sunrise and moon rise (little what was left of it) and I didn't set what I was looking for but instead took this photo. The plague on windmill says 'Be ware of moving sweeps'. Once upon the sweeps were indeed moving not by wind but electric motor. It worked as a kind of tourist attraction. There are four different kinds of old windmills on the same site preserved as monument of past days.</p><div>00YC6O-330781584.jpg.f626d9fd0af479a9ff77d316ab4119d1.jpg</div>
  5. <p>In the spirit of coming holidays a huge Christmas tree was installed on town square on Monday. I caught it with a "celestial" decoration on Tuesday morning. Later on Sunday this week all the true lights are lit on tree and on streets and the Xmas season starts, the commercial part anyway. 5D 70-200/2,8 ISII</p><div>00XkPE-305813584.jpg.761905a62e8f20a66c6c00324a8077f4.jpg</div>
  6. <p>Last week was every day all morning very foggy, but as I had to go to work every day from Monday to Friday, I wasn't able until Sunday to go out and try to capture that magical dim of morning light. I got a few descent shots and this is one of them. If You wonder what happened on Saturday, I was getting rid of workdays sleep deprivation. 5D 70-200/2,8 L IS II</p><div>00XRHI-288209584.JPG.0655f559d12bf0e3fb3602d669f37087.JPG</div>
