Thoughts please. I'm still with using DOF and I'm still not sure if
I'm there. I find these brightly lit scenes a problem with Priority
mode and have to revert to manual to get it how I would like it.
Critical comments are always welcome.

This was taken at a French Festival in Brisbane, the subject in
question was dressed up as a surgeon from around 200 years ago, not
shown in the picture is a table full of tools of the trade for the
surgeon.
This was an on the spot photo on an extremely sunny day. The tent he
is in made the light quite diffuse.

Your critique would be appreciated. I would really love suggestions on
how to improve, whether it be on composition, exposure, cropping, etc.

Any comments about this photo appreciated.

I've tried several different ways to capture the incredible lines that
this building has. Most of my shots I'm not happy with but I think
this one captures some of the amazing effects from the building. I
should note that this was a hand held shot, I plan to revisit this
building as the seasons change and include a tripod.

Beautiful photo, I've been trying to do something similar and not even come close. I have to agree with the comment about the lens flare though it appears sharp enough for my tastes. The green appears slightly too strong, not sure if you adjusted it or that's it's natural colour. I love the lighting.
Overall very nicely done mate.
James.
