Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can explain to me how to achieve this type of effect in processing:
http://www.photo.net/photo/6800221
I see a lot of similar work all over PNet and am very curious how these types of images are produced. I can recognize certain aspects such as vignetting and diffusion but I am having trouble reproducing it in Photoshop. I sense plug-ins may be involved.
Thanks!
~ Goran

Ok, that makes sense. After posting this, I was able to find old posts on the subject that cleared things up a bit as well. Thanks very much!

Thanks, Rob

I think I will have to do that in the future. Random ratings with no comments really do not do me any good.

Hello everyone,
I am a new PNet member, and I am noticing a lot of Anonymous Ratings on the photos I put up on the Critique forum. Are these ratings made by PNet members or just random site visitors? I would prefer to get comments along with a ratings, so I am wondering if there is a way to disable anonymous ratings. I feel they completely defeat the purpose.
Thanks!
~ Goran

I have the same problem if I try to access Pbase or SmugMug from work. Thankfully, Photo.net is still not getting blocked. Hope it stays that way.

Thanks a lot for all of your suggestions!

I did ask Wim for some additional info on his processing methods. Didn't receive a reply yet. If any of you haven't looked at his portfolio, you definitely should. It is full of wonderful examples of artful processing.
I will have to experiement more with dodge and burn. I have only used it for emphasis / de-emphasis in the past. I guess it's time to get a bit more creative with it.

Thanks again,
~ Goran
