<p>I have a D700. I would like to shoot wildlife in Yellowstone. I know I need to have as much reach as possible.<br>

If I shoot in DX mode, are the results better than shooting in FX and cropping in the computer? Do I lose megapixels when I shoot DX? <br>

I will be using the 70-300 4.5-5.6 DR. And the 70-200 2.8.<br>

Also, what is everyone's feelings on tele-converters? Is it better to shoot without them and crop in the computer??<br>
