    I've been doing nature photography for as long as I've owned a

    camera but have only recently taken up portraiture. Any suggestions

    for improvement would be welcome.

    A very attractive woman and nice mood lighting, but I believe the picture would be more dramatic if you put her a little more off centre -- more into the right part of the frame.

  1. This shot was taken in a corridor at the Detroit airport. Every few

    seconds the lighting on the walls changes, shifting the mood from warm

    to cool. My goal was to take a still that captured the colour

    transition, and the passers-by as they tried to make their connecting

    flights.

     

    What do you think?

    P.S. A tripod, if I had one on hand, certainly would have been useful

    to eliminate camera shake although, in my view, the blur doesn't

    completely distract from the picture.
