The main subject is horizontally right in the middle of the composition. Usually this doesn't work well and I don't think that it helps this photo.
When we look at photos our eyes start at the upper left and work down the page, just like when reading a book. Strong elements work best in the lower right hand part of the photo because this is where your eyes will end up.
I think that you could have improved this photo by putting the subject close to the right hand side of the frame and maybe moving it down a bit. I like the sky above and the mood of the photo.
