This man was solemly sitting in the bench seemingly defeated for

hours.

I usually don't consider myself technical enough to comment on POW's. However this image really caputred me. The intensity coming out of this girl's eyes coupled with the light really intense lighting is very intruging. Disturbing even. But it captures something....the other side of the young girl that isn't so sweet and innocent?

It's almost what I would expect for a horror film preview.

David--thanks so much for the suggestions!  I was a bit bummed that I ended up cutting off her ear and tongue in the photo.  It was a bit impromptu. I was doing some photos mixed in with an obedience session and this picture was at the end of her "dodi" command (release from a down-stay with a "front" finish...my husband is Bosnian so all her "working" commands are in Serbo-Croatian).  As she was doing her sliding sit-stop I decided to snap a picture but also realized at the last second I was going to be too close with the 50mm lens on, so I lifted up and back as much as possible.  Alas, she still got some parts chopped off!  I'm going to play with the cropping ideas to see how those look. 

While walking down a street in my husband's hometown of Mostar,

Bosnia, something about the shadow of this stripped down tree on yet

another bombed building in that ancient city spoke to me.

Please let me know what you think of my photo. One of my favorite

things about sable German Shepherds is their gorgeous coloring.

The reflection in her eyes tell me "mom, I'm all about you!" But what

could I have improved?
