  1. <p>There are a few very professional and honest shops around HK, in an ocean of less honest ones. As mentioned before, Mong Kok and Sham Shui Po are more likely to offer stores that dont pray on unexperienced tourists to the same extent.<br>

    Avoid TST and Nathan Rd. There are a few ok ones in Central as well, Kinephoto and "Photo scientific" are 2. Second hand stuff can be found at some locations also, Ting Cheung in TST (one of the few honest ones in that area) sell new as well as used equipment.<br>

    So do <em>Hing Lee </em>on Lyndhurst Terrace, but they have a quite nasty reputation of stealing drop-in tourists money, or selling items of questionable quality for high price. Avoid them.</p>
