Ref Digitronics Synergy, I agree. I was silly enough to buy there without checking prices elsewhere in Singapore. I got hit SGD275 for a wide-angle.macro converter lens which, I subsequently found, was selling for under SGD90 elsewhere.
I'm not willing to see how much I overpaid for the monopod I also bought.

I also got stung by Digitronics Synergy in Singapore. I guess it was my own fault for not checking lens prices first. I paid S$275 for a wide angle lens converter w/macro 0.5x
A day later I noticed they seemed to be selling for around S$90 in other Singapore camera stores.

Trying to revive an old LS-1000 Nikon professional film scanner

I just hooked my old LS-1000 up tonight running Win 7 Pro 64-bit, VueScan 9 x64 (9.4.32), and an Adaptec 29160N SCSI card. I've been using the SCSI card and VueScan on this PC with my old (I bought it in 1997) HP Scanjet 5p scanner.

It's working well despite not having a terminator on the string (because of the cable config, the LS-1000 is the last device on the string).
