It's April Fools day is it?

The best and "safest" storage is a Dry Cabinet.

Sorry if I offended anyones sensibilities, it's just amazing to me that all of a sudden the 5DII that was hailed as one of the greatest cameras ever produced by Canon is now relegated to the "heap" because a successor has been brought out and being bought by what looks to me as rampant consumerism.
Impossible to know, but it would be interesting to know how many people snapping up these 5DIII's pushed their 5DII's to the absolute limit?
I'm still using an iPad 1 .....so maybe I'm just getting old and starting to grow moss?

why do so many people jump on the bandwagon so quickly?

With the release of the 5DMKIII it's as if no one has EVER been able to take a worthwhile photo with a 5DMKII
I wouldn't hesitate to say that the 5DMKII is more camera for 95% of the people who own one, yet people are in a mad scramble to spend thousands of dollars on a new body that will start to depreciate from the moment they take it out of the box.
What ever happened to the mantra of great glass before bodies?

What are the best ways of preventing a lens being stricken with fungus/mould?
Is it possible for Canon L series lens that are sealed against moisture/dust to become victim?
How do you store your lens? Does anyone use a purpose built dry cabinet?

Bodies come and go, glass is forever.

I'm thrilled with my 1.4x and 2x TC's

Good food for thought.

"I am blown away by people who are currently selling their 70-200 f2.8 IS lenses for $1,200-$1,500 to spend another $1,000+ on top to upgrade to the MkII. When and why did the MkI become so unusable? Is there really $1,000 worth of IQ improvement?"

Yeah I'm pretty blown away with the amount of people that seem to be dumping the old MK1 for the newer MKII

Do you feel compelled to have the latest incarnation of your series? Everytime Canon releases a new body do you feel like updating your now "old" body.
It's not like all of a sudden our old body ceases to work, but that marketing hype is oh ever so powerful!
