Tom Serio: hahaha, that bird! very nice capture

Roberta Davidson: so much great water pictures for weeks now - this one i really liked, great effort, great results

Gary Leighton: happy & beautiful

Alpo Syvänen: great lines and light!

In contrast to last week's billboard submission (hope it at least triggered some thoughts... Peter Rafle, thanks for your words), an Australian sunset.

Was hoping to post a pic from this week, but not interesting enough to share. Took my camera into a club last saturday, which was interesting and fun :) Not the best pics yet, i really need to start use and master flash...

Anyway, here goes. Walpole area, SW Australia this winter. Travelling is great. Loved the clouds - and freedom!

D90, 18-200 VR @ 55mm, f9, 1/320, iso 200, -3 EV to get silhouettes and more colors of the sky

 2.
Hey all,

Following these threads for a few months now, I only just registered and this is my first submission. I live in Amsterdam, and winter finally seems to have given way to spring. Birds are busy and whistling again, people sit outside at bars, having a drink in the cold, fragile early spring sunshine.

I like harmonious images, organic, classical beauty. However, I wanted my first contribution to be taken on the day itself, and my most interesting picture of today shows the opposite.

American Apparel billboard in sharp contrast with the beautiful canal and houses in the background. Every day I ride my bike along the place to work. It's a lovely spot in Amsterdam; the majestic museum of the tropics is right behind me as I take this picture.

Contributions so far are excellent as always. Photos that I really liked so far:

Thomas Gerstendoerfer (nice shot in low light, love the lighting and constrast)

Jeff Farkash (very appealing natural, happy setting; hard to capture these moments)

Doug Santo (seemingly simple shot, but it keeps drawing my attention; beautiful setting, and the distortion adds to the scene)
