<p>Ok guys.....I feel real stupid.....Ive done it now......Im new to the "Nikon" system and "assumed" that pushing the centre of the joystick was the same as pushing "OK"!!!!!!!!!<br>

Ive now pushed the separate "ok" button and bingo!!! Firmware installed....... suppose i should of read the book.....</p>

<p>Ive removed the grip and Im using a fully charged battery, the file is in the root menu on the CF card but Ive also noticed this red highlight on the "format" option in camera too, Im not able to format the CF card either??? Ive tried all my cards and they are a mixture of Lexar and SanDisk. Ive updated Firmware to other cameras in the past so its not new to me.....Im wondering if something in the cameras menu is stopping me format the Card?? Ive tried formatting in my Sony A700 but still no go......</p>

<p>For some reason when I try to update the Firmware on my D700 its not letting me, the screen with the current version ( 1.01 ) and the new version (1.02) is there and I have the option of yes or no, when I highlight yes its highlighted in red and wont allow me to progress??? any ideas guys???</p>
