I use a non OEM that I got from Amazon about 2 years ago for my 50D. It still works great.

I like Kelby training because of the wide array of courses that you can take for 1 monthly price. I 'm learning Lightroom, CS5, Photography and even McNally lighting from them. To me it is well worth the money.

I just bought the Black Rapids RS-7, it is a cross chest strap with pockets for storage. Great product.

I bought 2 of the Lastolite style softboxes off e-bay. They work great and are easy to use.

Wow, you guys nailed this one, I learned a ton on this post.

I have 3 flashes, 2 soft boxes and an umbrella set up triggered by simple cheap cactus (e-bay) triggers.
Even with all this stuff, I still find myself shooting with just 1 speedlite and softbox combination using a reflector for fill most of the time.
For me, a cheap trigger and 4 way reflector is the way to go, that way you can always use the sun and window lite to the best advantage.

You can download the update for camera raw from the Adobe site mentioned above, also you can download a small plugin for Elements that allows layer masks. http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pselements/qt/layermasktool.htm . This will give you a pretty good system for handling the 50D raw files without having to spend the money on CS4, which I have but rarely use.

I use the Lowepro for storage and traveling, but when I get where I'm going (usually woods) I move the equipment I want to carry to a Photographers Vest. I can wear it over a coat or jacket and it has plenty of room.
I use a hand strap, but I have a snap on neck strap that I also carry.

I use refillable Ink from MIS (http://www.inksupply.com ) in my R2880 and I've never had a problem. I get good profiles using the spyder system. I use a continuous ink system for my R280 that also comes from MIS. Some people claim that they cause clogging, but I also try to print every week to keep the heads clean. I'm not sure how much I save, but it is alot.

Hmmm, I'm Sorry, I didn't realize that you had to have a prior install. I guess you learn something new every day.

If you wish, you can download all the current software from Canon's web site for free.

Joe, I checked out your web site...Loved it.

I'd like to hear more about the DNG noise problem, I've been converting on import for awhile now and haven't noticed the problem.

I bought an additional set from ebay, and have had the same results as the batteries that came with my 50D. No difference even though they were packaged and marked different.

It made a difference on my 50D
