I have the pme 90 meterd prism but still prefer to use the minolta spot meter and some time the seckonic old analog hand meter when I can get too close to the subject, other wise in the mountain zones the spot meter helped a lot.

I would recommend for your B/W landscape to use a Red Filter.

Thank you dear Ray Butler , I will go for the hasselblad 40MM Lens, may be I do not need the 30MM at the moment specially where I do have the Mamiya RZ67 fish eye but never used it before, the 40MM will do a good job for me with the landscape.

I intend to spend my next long holiday not too far from here, it will be Oman, a place called Nizwa :

http://www.nizwa.net/oman/nizwa/nizwa.html

May be I stay there for two month as I will drive to Oman and I can have my tent, electrical generator and so on, this way I can spend more time photographing landscape.

Thank you again dear Ray Butler , I like the Your Milky Way, very nice image indeed.

Thank you dear Ulrik Neupert , I have the 80,50,150 and the 250 Hassel. lenses, I was aiming for the 40MM and the 30MM, they are more expenssive than the other 4 ones I have.

The 40MM is also not avilable with adorama and b&h, only with ebay,, the 30MM with b&h used around 3200 USA dollars and more to that the shippment and custom duties.

I can see the Kiev lenses are dead cheap comparing them to the Hassel. ones, I am interested for the 40MM and the Fish Eye, the question do Kiev lenses fit the 500 C/M and the 503CW, pls ?

Scott Murphy , is right, that tension sprink is totally bent.

The best idea, if you look at the top of the sprink holding 2 screwos, open them, remove the sprink, heat it up and try getting it to its normal position.

With all of the respect to Mamiya I would go for the Hassel. 500 C/M, some how I feel it is more practical when I use it and use the 503CW.

I been so far using the 50MM lens and it is sharp and given just enough coverage of the subject I been shooting, I would of course go more than that and buy the 40MM lens.

In some of the mountains areas during my travel this time to the east part of UAE, , I did feel that with 40MM I could have done a better job.

The lighter one is the Mamiya TLR cameras like the C220 or the C330, they are lighter thiner but taller, other wise you can shoot out door image hand held.

One of the backs I bought and though it is 645 format for the Hasselbld camera is the 16S super slide back.

It is a sort of full square format but sound too small to, is this just a format like this or is this to work with a special film type ?

Thank you

My loved one is the Toyo 45CF, with the horsman 6X9 back being more practical, makes me feel handling a real great camera.

How accurate is the hasslblad 503CW and how safe it is with the film winding?
Would it be better to use the manual crank or is it safe enough for my film to use the 503CW winder, sepcially while it comes with the infra red trigger which eliminate the need for a cable release ?

Dear Q.G. de Bakker , thank you very , very much sir, when I turned the the winder of the back anti-clockwise, it did give me number one and I attached it to the camera and the camera did fire and the did the same till I got to frame 16.

Please does this mean, when I load a film to this back I also turn the winder to anti-clock wise and then attach it to the camera ?

Thank you Sir

Dear Q.G. de Bakker , I do remove the dark slide from the magazine as I do with the other backs, with this one it is not making any difference when it is removed, the camera still not firing when it is attached to the camera, I already spolied 2 films with this back at a time where I did have no trouble with the other backs I have, also when I wind the film the number scale on the back do not indicate the number of the frames.

Thank you a lot dear Q.G. de Bakker

This back do have one of the circular winders, I tried to wind the film but it did not show the number, and also I did remove the dark slide sheet but that also did not help to fire the camera, Yes the back do have A16 mark on it also.

The different I was refering to , is the circular winder, on the other backs I have, they are like a lever which sleep on the side of the back while with this one it is a circular one one.
