I have been shooting a lot of Provia 100F this winter. Lots of
Snow/ice and macro work on streams and rivers. Even though I
am braketing my exposures, there is still a bluish tint in the
shadows and snow areas. I do have Sky1A filters on all my
lenses. Exposures are relatively long ( from 1/2 sec. to 4
seconds). And it does not seem to matter if the day is overcast or
sunny. Is this just the Provia emulsion or should I change filters
or what? Should I switch films? Any advice would be helpful.

Sarasota nature tips
in Nature
Posted
From March 19 to the 25th I will be in Sarasota, FL covering Spring
Training for the newspaper I work for. I have most mornings off, and
am hoping to get in a little nature/wildlife shooting while there. I
know there are several parks near by, but could use some local
knowledge on the best places to go.
We are staying at a hotel near the Hospital and a local camera shop
if that makes any difference. I don't have the street name with me
right now. The team works out at Twin Pines, I believe that is the
name. I also believe there is a nature preserve just down the way
from the facility.
If any Sarasota native could part with some knowledge of the area I
would be greatly appreciative. It would also be great to go out with
another shooter for company and guidance if possible. I shoot Provia
100F almost exclusively. Any problems with that film?
Feel free to e-mail me. I will get more detailed information on where
we are staying.
Thanks in advance
