Hi guys,
Been a long time reader of the forum, but hadn't actually signed up until today, as I would like to pose you a question if I may?
I'm running on an EOS 50D with the 17-85 IS USM f/4-5.6 Kit Lens.
I'm usually out and about and rarely leave the house without the camera strapped to my side. Unfortunately I seem to have a slight issue with the focus.
Now whether this is just me being silly, and slightly over critical, but I took a few shots in Leiden (small town in Nord Holland in the Netherlands) recently with a 10-22mm borrowed from work, and the images seem great but there's a slight soft focus issue.
I originally thought that this was the lens, but I seem to have it with all lenses, well all except the 100mm f/2.8L Macro.
There's an example at:
I'm thinking that this may be something related to DOF, as I do tend to shoot at a fast aperture (well fast if you can call 3.5 fast ;) ), and I guess just a small bit of back up and some guidance may be in order.

Looking forward to hearing your opinions and thank you in advance!

Thank you all.

Took a few today stopped down at F/9.0 or so and things seem much better. Guess I can hand hold a lot better than I thought :)
