<p>I currently use a Canon Powershot A650 IS 12.1MP camera, but I am considering buying a Canon Eos 450D; however, this would be a huge investment (about £500), and I am unsure of whether it is worth it or not.<br>

Could someone with experience please tell me if it is worth spending this much on an SLR at my stage of the game?</p>
