This is a real mixture.
One one level there's a lot wrong with this picture. The "extra" woman in the background, the lack of depth puts the middle woman slightly out of focus, the "unattached" hand on the guys shoulder.
But it works extremely well on an emotional level. I love the expressions; there's a story going on. The lighting is good. And the hand, though not obviously attached to the middle woman, connects the front two people in a way that would not be apparent otherwise.
In summary: I like it.

This is one of my favourite pictures from my recent trip to Jordan. What do you think? Ratings
appreciated, critiques even more so. Thank you.

This guy was hilarious -- dancing and singing his way through the desert. I wasn't able to
convey that humour but I do think it's one of my better portraits. What do you think?
Ratings and, especially, constructive feedback very much appreciated. Thank you.

Like it! Great expression! Her head kind of blends into the background, though. Maybe a little more contrast between the hair and the background?

This was taken in the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It's dark and the jellyfish move quickly making
taking pictures very tricky!
What do you make of this one? Critiques and, to a less extent, ratings greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

We went to Iceland for Christmas but got heavy rain rather than snow. I thought this image at
Geysir summed things up pretty well. What do you think?

Thanks for your comment. No, it's not cropped. I fiddled with the levels and desaturated it in Photoshop, otherwise it's exactly as it came off the memory card.

This is what I consider to be the best of a mixed bunch of pictures from my first attempt
to photograph a gig. My friend who manages the band gave a two word critique: "too
dark."
Anyone else care to venture an opinion? Rating appreciated, comments even more so.
Thanks.

All critiques and ratings greatly appreciated!

I feel that there's too much in the frame. An abstract (with just the colours in the top) might have worked well or a "record" shot of the head?

This is probably my favourite photo from my second ever shoot. What do you think? Prefer
critiques but rating welcome too. Thanks in advance!

Opinions and, to a lesser extent, ratings all greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The Stupa's are not as sharp as I would have liked, but I think the
composition is pretty decent. What do you think?

This is one of my favorites from my last few days in Norway. Thoughts
and, to a lesser extent, ratings greatly appreciated. Cheers.

It's a park in Oslo called the Vigeland Sculpture Park. There are loads of them there, plus a museum all dedicated to Gustav Vigeland. Have a look here for more information.
Although this is the most rated/commented on picture, I think there are better ones of the park in the same folder.

Did you use a polariser? I think it would look better with more vivid colours.
I'm not sure about the composition. Is the foreground too cluttered or lacking a subject?
-
I think I'd like to see less sky and more of interest in the foreground. Taken from a lower angle, closer up on those rocks I suspect it might have been improved. However, you still get a good impression of the place (I want to see it myself!).

Nicely done, but let down by the uneven lighting.
