<p>I have both the Nikon L35AF2 and the AF3 (also known as L35AF3). Both take wonderful pictures and probably have the same lens as the original L35AF that you have, Ian. They both set film speed automatically. You cannot attach filters with the AF2, but you can attach 46mm filters again with the AF3. Neither has any way of adjusting exposure for back lighting. Both automatically fire flash, but you can hold down the flash on the AF2 or hold a button on the AF3 to cancel the flash. Of course one of the biggest differences is the way they are powered: 2 AAs for the AF2 and a 6V 223 for the AF3. <br>
