I have Ordered one from Zeikos for my D3000 I think it may fit the D5000 also check a few threads above this one. It should say something about Grips for Nikon D3000 but all of the companies i listed there make D5000 grips also.

Hello everyone, Ok so i own a Nikon D3000 and have seen tons of people asking the question DO THEY MAKE BATTERY GRIPS FOR THE NIKON D3000?. so this post is just to let people know (even though im sure by now most people are well aware) that YES THEY DO MAKE BATTERY GRIPS FOR THE NIKON D3000. Nikon does not provided a grip but there are plenty of 3rd party suppliers.
1) Zeikos ZE-NBG60 (Fits Nikon D40,D40x,D60,and D3000)
2) Maximal Power
3) Ownuser
4) Opteka
Those are just a few 3rd party battery grip suppliers. Some you can find on Ebay and others on Amazon. Me personally after doing a pretty good bit of research for about a week or so
I BOUGHT THE ZEIKOS ZE-NBG60 it should arrive in about a week. Since I cant find ANY reviews on a D3000 with battery grip I will do a review on it when it arrives and let all you D3000 users know what i think.
Hope this helps all you D3000 users out there.

Amazing shot! those little guys can be a real pain to shoot. . Love how you captured the wings very well. I'm gonna have to go out and grab me the 70-300mm VR when I get the extra 500-600 bucks :). Again I want to thank everyone for their comments and sample photos.

Wow! what an amazing picture and thank you for your response, I was thinking the same thing. If I got the 70-300mm I wouldn't have much use for the 55-200. Oh and if anyone wants to gimmie a Nikon 70-300mm VR for free I won't mind haha :D

Ok, so I recently bought a Nikon D3000 as my first D-SLR camera and I love it. I bought it with the lens kit which included the Nikon 18-55mm VR and the Nikon 55-200mm VR. I want to shoot mainly Wild life/Nature photography and also Sunsets. So heres my question. I have the 55-200mm VR lens, but should I go out and buy the Nikon 70-300mm VR lens. Also if I do buy the 70-300 should I keep my 55-200mm lens or sell it to help pay for my new lens?

Thank you very much to everyone in advance for their help

NIKON D90 QUESTION when shooting Vertically
in Nikon
Posted

Ok, so I got my new Nikon D90 today, and have been messing with it for hours now. I'm pretty familiar with the camera, but there is one thing im not sure about.
So heres my question.
Can anyone tell me if there is anyway to get the information on the back of the LCD screen (i.e the ISO, Shutter Speed, ISO, etc.) to rotate when shooting vertically (Like in the D3000, all the information rotates when you rotate the camera vertically.) If the D90 doesnt do this then i guess theres nothing I can do, but I would think that when shooting portraits there should be a way to get the INFO displayed where I can read it.
Thank you all in advanced.
