  1. I have a L grip with a flash shoe. I then have a generic shoe to PC cord. If I need to

extend the cord when using a flip flash mount I have a spiral cord the goes from 12"

to three feet. Just plug into the lens. Works fine. Make sure the ground (outside)

of the cord make good contact with the PC connection on the lens. The newer

Hassy lens' have a good lock for PC cords.

  2. Look carefully at your negatives. I had the same problem with My Pentax 6x7, but it was the left edge on the inside. I found this problem with labs that use Fuji Frontier printers and scanners. If however you can see it on an outside edge of your negatives (or slides) suspect the light seals as others have mentioned.

  3. The focus is a breeze. Better than a manual 35mm. Anyway, I

sold all My hassy, RZ, and M645 stuff for this system. The finest

I've ever used. I use 220 most of the time and can handhold

down to 1/30 easy. I even had some nice exposures at 1/15. I

do use a monopod at times. You will like this camera IF you

    don't interchangeable backs.

  4. I've used both. Most recently I got a Pentax 6x7 (Asahi) and it is a dream! And as far as mirror slap it really is moot point. The mirror is all the way before the shutter even fires. If you know how to hand hold and are steady it's not a problem. That said, I do use a mono pod for shutter speeds of 15 and lower with the normal 90 lens. It's far easier to hold this camera steady than My 35mm stuff. The weight adds to the stability.

  5. I live near to St. Paul/Mpls and mostly use WhiteHouse Custom

Color. They do a great job. If you must the very best (and be

prepared to pay), ProColor in Mpls is with out question the very

best in nation. They run three shifts and there isn't anthing they

    don't do. http://www/procolor.com

They have a 50 page PDF file for download about services and

prices. They are simply without equal (IMHO).

  6. It's a great scanner. I use it for 6x7 transparencys as well as

negatives. Also does a fine job scanning from pictures. I

scanned a 4x5 print at 1200 (383 meg file) and then printed it on

My HP 1220C Deskjet. at 2400 dpi 8x10 on premium photo

paper. There is very little difference between this print and the

one done at the lab. You will like the 5370C very much!
