The larger trees against the blue sky are wonderful. I am not so sure about the fir trees, if you could either have kept these out of frame so that the background trees were more visible, or could have caught them in sunlight also I think you would have had a stronger image. However, still a very nice shot with a real feel of winter about it, well done.

during the recent cold weather in the UK I found tehse amazing ice
formations alonside a canal. Its hard to get a prope impression of scale
from the image, but they were up to 2cm/ 3/4 inch long.

an intriguing photograph, very nice.
You do seem to have lost some detail in the floor at the bottom of the stairwell, would a slightly shorter exposure have retained this without making the stairs too dark?
