  1. My Canon i960 has recently gone funky. Despite deep cleaning and head alignments, my

prints are still flat and dark. I've also heard that some of my prints have faded. I'm thinking

about moving to the Epson R800 or R1800, and have a couple of questions:

    1) Besides the difference in max print size, is there any other advantage to the R1800 that

    justifies the higher price?

    2) Any tips for getting the best resutls with my Mac PowerBook using Mac OS X 10.4?

    3) Any other help you can offer?

    Thanks for the help!

    /Jason

  2. Thanks for the great answers. Just what I was looking for. I forgot about losing some of

the telephoto, and I think (for the moment) that I'm looking at keeping the status quo... I'll

just have to add a superwide zoom later. :-)

  3. As one of the last luddites, I finally broke down and purchased a Nikon D70 a few months

ago. I've learned to live with the limitations and have instead appreciated the

improvements in workflow. Now I'm thinking about making a complete break and selling

my F100 and my favorite Nikkor 28-70mm f2.8. I was delaying this because I love the

camera, but right now I can't see myself using film much. The goal would be to use the

proceeds to buy a Nikkor 17-55mm f2.8 DX.

So I'm wondering if any current owners of the 17-55 have any opinions? Does it offer the

same clarity and speed of the 28-70?

I'm hoping to gain some space in my closet and some weight savings. My real worries are

that Nikon ditches the DX lens when they unveil a 35mm sensor.

    Thanks for any help.

    /Jason

  4. I've been seeing the same problems. I love my Canon i960. Crisp, clean and vibrant colors,

but I CAN NOT get a decent print from Photoshop CS on Mac OS X. I've tried tons of tests

with turning off and on every setting to no avail. However, if I let iPhoto handle it on

default, it looks great. I'd love to see a solution for this!
