I also loved the page, love the musicf, and love your work! Your site is very unique and it stood out a lot to me, nice!

I like it! I would also get rid of the red font on the black background, it can be irritating (literally, don't mean that in a bad way) to read and sometimes difficult to read. But otherwise, it's really interesting!

I know some people watermark their photos and others do not. My question is, should you watermark photos? If you should when should you watermark them?
I'm just curious. I watermark some of mine when I end up posting them on my blog or elsewhere, but I wasn't sure if it's really necessary. Thanks!

Thank you all for the suggestions! I'm trying the free photo party idea first and then I'll go from there =).

I'm still learning how to use my camera, but I use both but manual focusing helps me get the results I want when auto focus won't focus on what it is I want it to focus on. I also like being able to have that much more flexibility with focusing/controlling how the picture comes out =).

Thank you all for the input/advice, I really appreciate it and am going to bring some of the possible issues up with her and dicuss that she may not want to use me as I am a beginner. She is aware that I am a beginner, but I don't want to her to be disappointed if I do end up doing it.

A former supervisor of mine who I get along with pretty well asked if I could photograph her wedding in a few months after seeing a photo shoot I did for a friend and she asked me how much did I want to be paid. I don't know how much to charge. This will be my first time shooting a wedding so I was thinking maybe $500 since I see the normal price is at least $1000+ and it would be my first time doing it. Any help would be appreciated!

I have an interest in photography and as of right now I take pictures for fun/ as a hobby. I got a Nikon D40 and am slowly learning everything it does and how to do it.
I just did a photo shoot for my friend in one of her outfits (she's a costumer) over the weekend and I enjoyed it. I would like to gain more experience by doing more photoshoots but most of my friends do not like to have their pictures taken, so asking friends to use as subjects is a little difficult.
I have emailed a few photographers in the area about having an interest in developing skills but most of them don't have a need for anyone right now.
How else can I gain some experience, particularly with people? Thanks for your help!
